CrossIron Mills, commonly referred to as CrossIron, is a large outlet shopping centre located in Balzac, Alberta, Canada, within the city of Calgary’s municipal boundary. Situated near the intersection of Highway 2 and Highways 1A and 22X, it serves as one of the largest retail destinations in Western Canada.
History
The project was conceived by Cadillac Fairview, a real estate investment trust (REIT) based in Toronto. Groundbreaking for CrossIron Mills occurred on July 10, 2008, with construction taking place over two years and completed in November 2010.
